I was the first Director of the Plymouth International Book Festival and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the festival including funding, marketing and event management. The festival brought to Plymouth writers such as Will Self, Joanna Trollope, Sir Andrew Motion, Helen Dunmore, Ben Okri, Kate Mosse and Linton Kwesi Johnson.

In partnership with Tangent Books I set up Word of Mouth which programmed and promoted spoken word and music events in Bristol Old Vic and The Thunderbolt. Working with spoken word performers such as John Hegley, Jean ‘Binta’ Breeze, Luke Wright, Molly Naylor, Kate Tempest and John Otway.

I also worked to produce full shows and rehearsed readings to The Tobacco Factory and The Ustinov Theatre at the Bath Theatre Royal.
